
Alyssa McGhee
“My goal as a Social Worker and Therapist is to be the trusted mental health professional I yearned for as a child”. Alyssa graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hiram College in 2017. Alyssa received her Master of Social Work as well as a Mental Health, Addiction, and Family certification from Tulane University School of Social Work in December of 2021. She interned at Edward Hynes Charter School and FFLIC in Louisiana where she provided individual and group therapy to school aged youth as well as conducted community organizing for youth affected by the justice system. She is currently working towards her independent licensure and various therapy modality certifications.
Alyssa has professional experience working with people of all ages including individuals in crisis, individuals with developmental disabilities, and many other areas. Alyssa loves to provide counseling through fun kinesthetic interactions. Alyssa enjoys exploring, self- care, and spending quality time with loved ones during her spare time. Helping people, traveling, and puppy cuddles are her favorite activities. She is passionate about preventative mental health care as well as advocacy.
