When young people get overwhelmed, they need reassurance and consistency to help them get back up on their feet. Resiliency can be built when individuals are surrounded by those who will take the time to invest in them. Whether you are seeking a therapist for your child or for yourself, taking a step towards prioritizing mental health is one which will be both hard-working and appreciated.

As a therapist, it is my goal to help children, teens, and families develop in a healthy way. I will create a space that is devoted for your whole wellbeing. Throughout our time together, you can expect to learn coping skills to help manage big emotions, improve communication skills and relationships, as well as feel empowered to take action in setting and meeting new goals. I use an integrative and holistic approach in therapy- with foundations focusing on family systems, child development and parenting styles, as well as trauma informed care. I utilize techniques from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), Reality Therapy, and creative interventions such as play and art. I am skilled in working with children and adolescents, as well as partnering with parents to aid in family development.

I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology at Waynesburg University, and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Stetson University. My experience ranges in working with youth who have behavioral and mental health needs, and providing services to those who have experienced something bad, sad, or scary. Many of the youth I have worked with were those in residential group homes, foster or kinship care, or awaiting adoption. I also have worked with adults in developing self-care plans, coaching through new parenting routines, and helping to find the strength within to overcome other life challenges along the way. My passion is to help individuals and families of all kinds find healing and peace.

During my spare time, I enjoy taking walks with my dog, socializing with family and friends, traveling, being in nature, and discovering new DIY projects!
