My goal as a therapist is to offer a place where you feel comfortable, confident, validated, and empowered. Therapy is a collaborative effort between client and therapist, and it is essential that you feel you are a part of your treatment. My therapy approach includes using a strengths-based perspective to focus on the whole of an individual and use that to assist them in their therapeutic journey. I also incorporate the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques into my therapeutic process. I can work with various presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, and relationship issues.
I am a licensed social worker and received my Bachelors of Social Work from Youngstown State University. I am working towards my Masters of Social Work through Ohio University. My professional experience includes working in an individual and a group therapy setting and crisis management in an emergency room. I have experience with adolescents, adults as well geriatric clients.
I hope to minimize fears and worries about therapy and provide a space that will allow for personal growth, healing, and understanding.
In my free time I like to hang out with family, friends and my two dogs. I enjoy the occasional binging of a new series and a nice fall hike.
