Life provides us challenges, ups and downs, and periods of extreme distress. Our unique experiences often shape how we view ourselves and the world. My approach to therapy is to assist in reframing your thoughts and beliefs, and encouraging you to take an active role in this process. By bringing awareness to and challenging these sometimes unhelpful ways of thinking, my hope is for you to gain the confidence to work through troubling issues as they arise in the future. I act as a guide to empower you on your personal growth journey.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University, and my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. For the last four years I worked for the Cleveland Clinic, primarily in an emergency room setting, counseling individuals in mental health crises. During this role, I fell in deep admiration in working with LGBTQ individuals, as well as adolescents. Prior to this, I worked in an individual practice setting, counseling individuals of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, and life transitions.
It is my priority to create a nonjudgmental space for you to share your struggles and find your voice. Everyone has an important and unique story, and it is my honor to provide a supportive environment to express and discover your truest, most authentic self.
