Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here. One of the hardest things to do is to take that first step towards making a change. It is a bit of a trust fall to meet someone new and share the difficulties in your life. I have a deep respect for the bravery it takes to start services. I see my role in your care as your passenger. You’re driving, and I’m sitting beside you with a road map guiding the way. You choose the pace and ultimately the direction.

Coming from a very humble upbringing where I was raised in Cleveland, I was the first person in my household of eight to graduate from college. I received my GED in 2000, my bachelor’s degree in social work from Cleveland State in 2011, and my master’s degree in social work from Capella in 2024. I have been a licensed social worker since 2012. I am currently working towards my independent licensure.

I started my career working with individuals with severe mental illnesses and other disabilities who were previously unhoused. I have worked in a variety of settings including early intervention, community-based case management, hospice, juvenile probation, school-based counseling, and outpatient counseling. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with the care of the people I serve.

While I have spent most of my life in the Greater Cleveland area, I made a choice to move to the east central Ohio area with my partner in December of 2024 to enjoy a slower pace of life now that we’re empty nesting. I enjoy spending time with friends, spending time in nature, gardening, cooking, and tending to my fur babies. We often travel back to the Cleveland area to visit friends and attend events.

I typically work with adolescents and adults ages 14 and up. I am happy to support folks navigating all of life’s challenges, but I take a special interest in a few areas. In my personal life I am a mother to a medically complex child who is now an independent adult. I am also an individual living with chronic illness. These areas need a great deal of advocacy and care and are very important to me. I also have a special interest in life stage issues including perimenopause, transitioning to older adulthood, end of life care, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, psychosis, veteran’s issues, PTSD, and trauma. I take a whole person view and consider the circumstances that led us here and the environment that the individual is living in. I seek to support and provide options to make improvements to your life and approach to managing life’s challenges.
