Hi, I’m Marissa. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn. Through my own healing journey, I was guided by compassionate professionals who helped me see my strengths. Now, I am here to offer that same support to others.
I believe that therapy is a space for empowerment, healing, and growth. My approach is grounded in empathy and an understanding that you are an expert in your own experience. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are.
As a social work intern I worked in perinatal mental health alongside a team of midwives and psychiatry professionals, providing support to refugee mothers. This experience helped shape my holistic, trauma-informed approach and introduced me to modalities like Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) which I continue to integrate into my practice.
I received my bachelors in Social Work from Cleveland State University, where I am currently completing my Master of Social Work. Outside of work, I enjoy seeking movement of all kinds through yoga, weight lifting, kayaking and walking my English Bulldog Gilligan. I’m also an avid reader (currently in two book clubs!) and love to bake.
